Estate Ikal

Estate Ikal sits on expansive grounds in Kupuri Estates, at the far end of Punta Mita's gated peninsula on the Riviera Nayarit. It is one of the larger houses in the community, and the land around it gives the place its character: room to walk, room to be out of earshot, and the ocean holding the far edge of the view.

Six bedrooms and two additional rooms sleep sixteen, served by seven bathrooms. Multiple living areas mean the house is never used all at once. A group gathers in one room and scatters into three others, and both things can be true within the same hour. The gourmet kitchen is set up for real cooking, whether that is a long breakfast or something more considered at the end of the day.

Days here take their shape from the grounds. Someone swims early. The private pool goes quiet around midday and fills again by four. The six-passenger golf cart leaves after lunch and comes back later than anyone planned. The ocean views carry the afternoon without asking for attention, and between November and March the humpback whales pass offshore, which is the one interruption everybody welcomes.

Premier Golf membership comes with the house. It opens both Jack Nicklaus Signature courses, including the Pacifico's hole 3B, the only natural island green in the world, reached by boat when the tide allows. The membership also covers the practice facilities, the clubhouse, and Punta Mita's private beach clubs.

Air conditioning runs throughout, for the hours of the day that ask for it.
